The Gaudy Human
The Gaudy Human
There is a universe huge,
Where all the entities seek refuge.
In reckoning it's limits the intellectuals fail,
To contemplate it's glory, the astronomers are frail!
In this boundless ocean, among galaxies, planets and stars,
Amidst light years, minutes and hours,
A diminutive earth sails.
And in its enigmatic beauty and mystery,
The human mind prevails.
It beckons the man to conquer the human race;
And to manipulate it's trace!
To neglect the universe and it's matter,
To grab and flaunt and intrigue with his chatter!
To sermonize and win and amas
s grandeur,
To beat the others and let himself endure!
Oh! He is a nincompoop- the ephemeral creature!
Why is he arrogant at such a paltry stature?
In a short lived mortal epoch of life,
Why does he strive for vicious strife?
Why does he not wonder at his worth?
Why does he yearn to conquer the earth?
The nearest star is beyond his reach,
Who endowed him the right to endorse and preach?
Why is he adamant to disrupt things down?
Why is he voracious for an ineffectual crown?
Oh Human! PONDER AND RISE!
There is much more beyond the skies!
