The Brevity Of Nature

Fathoming the intricacies of Nature's wonder,

One cannot constrain the craving for delving into its depth and ponder.

Has nature been the one to augment Life to its present state?

Or has Life found a way to illustrate itself as Nature's fate?

 

A Mother bird relinquishes her freedom of flying to protect her hatchling,

While the father bird relentlessly brings food whenever it is entailing.

What is about parent’s Love that we cannot see,

That engulfs our world whether it is a bird, mammal or you and me?

 

A lion cub always plays and fights with it’s siblings from dusk to dawn,

It is not something that they are taught, but, it’s just the way they are born.

What is it about sibling Friendship that is so eloquent,

That we are frequented by their thoughts with the rapidity of a current? 

 

In the depths of the ocean, thousands of aquatic species migrate to new horizons,

In search of sustenance without the certainty of being able to live on.

What is it about Hope that contributes to our endurance,

And somehow elucidates the purpose of our existence ?

 

Ants carry the deceased on their shoulders away from the colony for burial ;

For an animal so diminutive, why do we not find this surreal?

What is it about Reverence that is so significant,

That we still have it for a being that becomes non – sentient?

 

Such are the questions that have been nurtured in our curious shrine

For a man to discover their grandeur through the voyages of time.

Life always finds a way to break through the barriers of the cosmos

And this is how The Brevity of Nature leaves you to contemplate & bids you adios.
