The box of smiles

Is always by my side.

Waiting to be picked up and utilized

for passersby

to begin their day

with a positive vibes

Many a person

with immense responsibilities

of family, a business or a goal

could need it desperately

to begin his day

favourably and peacefully

A person with lost hope

or unrequited love

or bereaved recently

could envision the smile

to carry it forward

positively to his day or life

A student or a professional

a sweeper or a politician

passing by

would stop perhaps allured by my smile.

to drop a coin a rupee or a dime.

Then collecting those precious pieces

would carry them come eve

I would buy something

for the five hungry dependants

waiting with a smile for me.
