The Blissful Twenties

Crossed the teening age,

Successfully with no breakouts.

Finished the humble nineteen

With some baggage and almost burned out.

Made major turns on the roads; tried not to skid,

Held my breath so hard for every step reveal and bit.

Entered my glorious twenties and promised to make some marks,

Believed that life could just go on just as simple; while it lasts.

Twenties are just fabulous and one-fourth of life,

Try catching up every moment, don't matter the type.

I grabbed on the flying balloons, falling in all the color range,

Black, white, yellow, red, yellow and even the beige.

Fell on the face, stood up again, crawled sometimes and even jumped.

Oh boy! the twenties, don't they make you feel just pumped?

My twenties were a Gumbo and I loved how it tasted,

Stepped over every rolling stone, and sang it off till it lasted.

The twenties gave me power, love, marriage and a bundle of memories,

Made me a woman to a wonderful man, with whom I can bear all my cherries.

The twenties were revolting and honoring for my youth,

I will never regret what I had and that is being my moment of truth.
