That Winter Morning
That Winter Morning
I woke up in the morning
With my phone on the floor
I pocked it up and walked
Towards the open door
It was the dark before the breaking dawn
Everything was quite and still
I glanced towards my lawn
And it was the cold I could feel
With dew drops on the grass
I went near to those chirping birds
Taking the cold breath as I pass
And sounds of breeze I suddenly heard
Down on the green bed of bushes I lie
It was only
nature and me
And I saw the phone, when it was just five-thirty
Everywhere I looked at the sky
There was just one star shining bright
My laziness and sleep just got lost somewhere
It was the nature's work that attracted me there
I was looking at those birds when the sky became too bright
But then I realized that it was the mighty sun
Who was spreading the light
It was the only morning I had
Because on other days I couldn't get up from my bed
