Drifting lost, so quick abandoned

Paid the cost, yet nothing to show

For the fears, set aside daily

Or the tears that now fall again.

Blind despair, clutching like fingers

Never dare to consider “What if”

Now my dreams to nightmares are changing

Such a scene, the tapestry of Hell.

Nothing left, forgotten, forsaken

Remorsefulness eating away

Comfort gone, now cold and discarded

Counting on misery to save me.

In the night, frightened and shaking
