It is not a slogan. It is a necessity of the nation.

Chanakya, one of the greatest teachers of all time said a nation will become independent, liberal, and forward when the teachers guide the children properly building character of persons and understanding the importance of nation-building.

APJ Abdul Kalam has said:

"Educationists should build the capacities of the spirit of inquiry, creativity, entrepreneurial and moral leadership among students and become their role model."

Teachers are not confined to the four walls of a school. They come in the form of parents, siblings, soulmates, friends, or simply a companion.

Parents have a great duty in nation-building by showing their children that they are truly grateful for the simple, good things in life. Cleanness and purification in mind and heart from the inside is necessary for becoming role model for their children. Hypocrisy, false and evil thinking, corrupt mind, false promise and grudges, hatred, bitterness, and negativity would be reflected in the mind of children. It ultimately affects the growth of the nation in the right direction.

Deepavali festival----

Hindus observe one of the significant festivals which is Deepavali. This celebration is not to enjoy by bursting crackers. This celebration is not just about outer illumination. Getting up before sunrise during Brahma Muhurat, taking the Abhanga Snana, Holy bath, followed by crushing the Karit fruit under the feet, the celebration signifies the destruction of evil within us. It is a day when Hindus evaluate their thoughts, words, and actions over the past year and acknowledge their prejudices, negative behaviors, and bad habits and try to discover how they can be more loving, respectful, and skillful towards others. To achieve this Hindus pray to the deity Lakshmi for her assistance in cultivating and accumulating spiritual wealth such as compassion, forgiveness, and loving-kindness. In essence, Darkness to light, Ignorance to knowledge, and unhappiness to bliss is the real sense of celebrating the Deepavali festival.

Now how we enjoy it-----

Now to show our vanity, Diwali has now become a highly polluting festival, starting with the firecrackers which cause air and noise pollution, and the chemical-laced rangoli powders. This poisons the soil through the excessive use of plastic for decorating or wrapping purposes. The leaders say in words for votes that they are championing the cause of Hindus without understanding the real essence of the Deepavali festival.l With vanity they declare that they would burst crackers.

As conscious citizens, we friends must enjoy the festival in all its spirits and color, yet rationalize the traditions to make the festival more friendly and safe for the environment, in an eco-friendly manner.

Last but not the least, we will pray and try to change our conduct for achieving inner light cleansing ourselves, our relatives, and family members and showing our children that we would achieve happiness by seeing the beauty in life. By cleansing our thought processes and changing ourselves with spiritual amnesia from illusionary and hypocritical roles, we can be the teachers to guide our children properly in building their character. Thereby we can be on the path of the nation-building process and not by giving slogans of “SWACHHA BHARAT”, “GREAT BHARAT” OR “GREAT INDIA” only.
