Sonia the Great

May I share some precious memories

in June of nineteen nighty-three,

when the younger version of me

met such a beautiful lady.

I was yet a dozen years old

in the building some decades old,

waiting for my name to be called

by the prettiest of that world.

She was designated to be our mom,

as we belonged to her queendom,

she had sixty daughters and sons,

who came from around the island.

I wonder how she managed to care,

but in mothering she never failed,

her presence had tamed the monsters

in us who were wild teenagers.

As she did not just teach grammar,

but also touched heart like Amor,

with her look full of glamor,

caressing the deep of our soul.

Mother of twenty-eight princes

and of thirty-two princesses,

who were wearing white and pink dress,

Her majesty, Sonia the Great!
