Silence

The wind is hiding in the trees

Secreted there by the night branches

Stillness without betrayal

Only whispers in the dark

Tell of its adventures

No ears to listen

A single shiver took its leaves

Now naked in the icy chill

Yet a perch for the weary

In winters clutches

as my eyes misten

While looking for the dawn

Waiting change that is arriving

I see this lords tree on the lawn

In its effort at surviving
