Silence, A Mother's Story

Silence, A Mother's Story

At home,

I watch my mother

As fast as machine , sometimes

I watch her

Struggling with

dirty clothes and dishes

While the meals are getting ready,

I wonder how she could hum

Her favourite melody

So softly between the quarelling vessels

Her tune, unheard

Like a bird singing in a cage

for freedom

I watch her, quietly

Walking alone

In rationed light

While counting the ways

She can love me more..
