Selfishly Selfless

Lived my life for a smile of others,

Tried following styles of others.

Adjusted myself as per others happiness,

Kept aside my problems and sadness

Whatever I did ,I did without thinking of anything in return,

But when it was my turn...

What did I get,

Something that made me upset.

Entire life who was loved for her selflessness,

Is called selfish ,that became a reason of her stress.

That too for a small household chore,

Said by someone I couldn't ignore.

I wish I was selfish so I would have been much happy,

May be I would have spared more time for self and my hobby.

Wish I would have just lived for self,

Without doing much would have taken everyone's help

But somehow my nature does not allow me to be so,

Sadly, after being so long with me, he still does not know.
