scorching Sun
scorching Sun
Oof! The scorching sun and the blazing weather,
Draining all the energy from us.
Our skull burns like flames, making our eyes bleed with tears,
Lack of enthusiasm to work or cook.
Maybe God is penalizing us for our bad deeds—
War, deforestation, cruelty to nature.
We are wrongdoers,
It’s justified for us to pay the price.
But why suffering to all empathetic spirits,
As only faults of few sinners?
The gentle souls and fragile, pure animals
Are waiting for that drop of rain—
That drop of rain, a blessing and bliss
To all creatures of Earth and Mother Earth,
To cleanse herself
From all unfair injustice of humankind.
