Run Rat

They cheered me up and geared me up

To run a rat race.

I started fast, fell forward

And completely lost my pace.

They pushed me to get up and run

But now, I was totally done.

Finally, I lost it.

Nothing could make me

Win.

Should I now question my worth

And end up just like that?

Or should I aim up high

Cuz I'm no more just a rat?
