I looked at you,

You who is me.

Failing to show the euphoria

I should've been feeling,

With a frown adorned face.

It makes me wonder why we're so similar

And yet so different, in ways more than one.

I wonder what you're going through

To be facing me with such joy.

Happiness that you're making yourself feel,

That doesn't exist.

Seeing you this unhappy,

Makes me want to pull you over to me.

Embrace you in my arms,

Tell you its fine

And keep you by my side.

I want to hold you tight

And pull you into the reality.

Whisper into your ears

The truth you've been hiding yourself from.

The pain and the guilt,

You've concealed deep within you.

But I think it's selfish of me

To wish you over this side, with me,

For I am just a reflection whose duty is

To keep you away from the misery

Separated by this mirror.
