Rainy Day

It was a rainy day when

I made a paper boat. 

Wow! It went floating

But slowly started dripping

I made another lovely boat

When my father came wearing a raincoat! 

He told me to get inside

As I was fully drenched. 

Though my red dress was dirty

I enjoyed myself being naughty. 

The breeze and rain made me cool

When I placed the boat on the roadside pool
