In this land of the arid desert,
With the parched sun blazing at me,
I crave for the soothing winds to caress me,
And the insatiable storm to engulf me,
I live in the hope, the desire to learn,
The Knowledge what is now forbidden for me.
Rules are laid and ought to abide by,
Dispelling me to a life of crudeness and ignorance,
But still,
I await in anticipation,
For the reassuring winds,
To blow away the layers of dust settled on those books, whose pages would “once upon a time” engulf me!
