Pride

Pride

A million rainbows merge within me,

Constellations aplenty, burning bright;

Fireworks cracking like Lord Rama’s return,

But you only see the straight colour white.

I am shrouded in the seven colours;

Different– in a special rendition dress.

The holy Designer stitched me unique;

Just like all the others– not more, not less.

Shun me all you want, my spirit shan’t die;

Get over “societal norms”, and spot the lie.

Now is the time— open your eyes and see:

A million rainbows merge within me,

With a dash of sparkles and confetti.
