Precious Wishes

Precious Wishes

My heart flows to unknown destinations, boundaries, and unseen limits,

The noisy world takes me back to the silent yet blissful memory lanes,

Time flows seamlessly in large chunks and tiny bits like a never-ending saga of stories,

How I wish the time would freeze into a frame of precious moments that could be replayed like an old cassette of memories,

How I wish my childhood would rewind into my life again,

How I wish to devour the yummy Vadapav that Dad used to buy once in a while,

How I wish I could wear that lovely dress Mum sewed for me years ago,

How I yearn still for that Readers digest and Champak that Dad brought every vacation,

How I dream often of the delicacies my mom specially reinvented,

How I recollect the board games we played nonstop,

How I wish those years would be relived again,

How I yearn for that moment when my cute little sister was the pink nailed bully,

How I wish that I could hold the soothing warm hand of my beloved Papa,

How I wish that I could hold his hand and walk endlessly along the seashore,

How I wish that all these wishes come true and I stop wishing altogether.
