Extinguished.

Justifiably,

Left here to die.

Defenceless.

Wilting,

Burning,

Perishing.

Wasting away

In the unfamiliar

Heat

of an ever increasingly

unforgiving

sun.

No more food

Or water

to go

around.

Far too weak

to even

reach

for it

If there was any

left.

A thick musky dust

Hangs heavy

in the

air.

Such

conscious

and

continuous

struggle

simply

just

to

manage

to

breath.

What a

gradual

and

agonising

armageddon

it is.

And that’s just

me.

Hungover.

Sprawled out

on a bench

by the pool.

First rough morning

in the

almost

unforgiving

heat

of the

Cambodian

sun.

Imagine what our future may hold.
