One Last Time
One Last Time
The first day of school was full of fright.
I may or may not be right,
But those scoldings have taken me to this height ...
From small benches to lecture chairs,
From eating tiffin alone to learning to share.
The only thing I missed was time.
During which I did those secret crimes.
The talks we had were rather rubbish.
Could we have those crush talks again I wish...
Teasing each other was again a fun,
Now we are on a life track and we have to run..
Time was there when we meet and plan.
Time has come when we plan and meet.
From fighting to be the first bencher,
To be called as a back bencher.
Those wooden benches were a perfect place to sleep.
Now I could only sit there and weep.
Those innocent faces after committing a crime,
Now I could proudly say that was a time ....
Begging for those five minutes to score good marks,
And now just to pass.
Result day was not about how much marks
Instead, it was who failed or who passed.
Fights were longer but these made our bond stronger
We will always stand for each other and promise to do the same further.
When a teacher send us out of the class,
That we used to hate.
Now we went out in swag to stand with our mate.
But to remember its actually too late,
Separated by sections united during breaks
Now school days are over at last.
We cannot go back in the past,
We might be in our own ways but in contact always,
Could I enjoy those moments in a little advance,
But I know I lost my chance.
To end up this poem I have to mug up,
For what I cared, but now I am scared.
And now I have to break this mending wall,
MISS YOU ALL.
