Now, I Keep My Dreams Aloof
Now, I Keep My Dreams Aloof
My youth floated on ample dreams;
On infancy and lavish themes.
I dreamt of sailing sea and flying high.
My mother too lived the same lie;
And now, I keep my dreams aloof.
Those were all but mere dreams;
Giving voice to my silent screams.
Yet, I dream still, to relive and treasure;
To reach the heights beyond measure.
And now, I keep my dreams aloof.
I could afford fantasy in my dreams;
Over the seas and magical streams.
Crossing borders and reaching unknown;
Far from reality till the early dawn.
And now, I keep my dreams aloof.
I live my dream in my dreams.
A glittering world, or just so it seems.
Clouding over my eyes and mind;
My dreams keep me unblind.
But now, I keep my dreams aloof.
