Of swirling colours

And heady scents

Flowers unbloomed

Fire in your lungs

Setting the night ablaze

Let the night burn

With unabated fury

Sparks in your eyes

A promise on your lips

Tendrils of flame

Caress you

Let the night smoulder

And consume you

Consume me

Breathe

Breathe in this morning

Of scorched dew

And hazy ash

Let the morning cloak

The embers of the night

And the night, unvanquished

Again burn bright
