New normal it is.
New normal it is.
It’s been a long time without our dear ones,
Been so long that we haven’t seen the suns.
Haven’t seen our friends in a while,
Missing their beaming smiles.
Miss sharing our scrumptious food,
And sitting on those benches made of wood.
Irritating our teachers with our mischiefs,
And forgetting our handkerchiefs.
Witnessing all those quarrels on the streets,
And in buses and trains, saving seats.
Bargaining with the shopkeeper,
Trying to get the price cheaper.
Times have been tough,
Losing people, and being away has been rough.
But now it’s almost over,
Bundles of joy and chucklesome laughter, in the air, will hover.
All will be free to roam,
Covid warriors and the ones way will finally rest, visit their home.
People will be more concerned about cleanliness and sanitation,
And always remember this situation.
It’ll take time for it to adjust, to the good ‘old days.
But we’ll make it soon, let’s give our self-praise.
Like back as much, we might not touch each other.
But still, take care and have fun with one another.
