National Flag

National Flag

1 min

Standing in the stadium,

Clasping the national flag to heart,

Wearing the tricolor

Saffron, white and green on the skin of my soul,

Fixing the twenty-four spoked wheel of Ashoka chakra as my third eye,

I wait for our national cricket team

To perform outstandingly on each encounter.

With each win,

My happiness doubles to see the swashbuckling innings.

Each time, the team inches towards victory my heart beat leaps.

Each time, the team lifts the trophy of victory,

My joys know no bound

And I feel as if from the national flag,

The victorious mother drops tears of immense happiness,

Giving her blessings to the utmost.
