My Special Teacher

I am happy that you are my teacher;

I very much enjoy every lesson you teach us.

I look forward to your classes every day;

I get inspired to learn in many ways.

You are a special teacher, I say as such;

You change the hearts and minds you touch.

You didn’t choose to teach for gold;

You shape many lives and mould.

You chose knowledge to share;

I always knew you really do care.

I learned so many things to do;

You help when I don’t know what to do.

In your eyes I saw a glow;

You watched me learn and grow.

You are there to point the way;

You guide me learn to work and play.

When I was faced with a test;

You kindly said - “Just do your best”.

When I was not doing anything good;

You always said - “I know you could”.

You opened my mind to many things;

You cheered me to stretch my wings.

Through your eyes, I learned to see

The person I could someday be.

You always help me to have fun;

I am glad for all that you have done.

I admire you each day and just want to say,

You are a very special one.
