My India

My India

O dear India,

O dear India.

Every day we get up, we think it’s a gift that we’ve got,

But for you, it is not.

Every day when you hope it is a nice day,

It turns out to be worse than the previous day.

Just as you open your eyes,

People spit on you and animals without a responsible owner use you as toilets.

O Motherland,

Why don’t you give your children the brains not to dirty you?

Stop being jealous of other countries for,

This state of yours isn’t impossible to change.

I being a citizen of India,

Vow to do my part in making a CHANGE in you.
