My Guardian Angel - Grandfather

Every morning Mumma wakes me up,

And before I open my eyes,

 Hurriedly a toothbrush rushes in my hands

It’s then, when I get into your lap

And suddenly the storm gets calm

Getting ready for school becomes real fun

Thank God somebody is like me

Who is never in a hurry

When my school gets over

 I wait for you to come

And sharing everything

On our way back home

When I get stars in my class copy

It's you who gets so proud

When my teacher praises me

It's because of you, clear and loud

I sleep on your shoulder

With endless stories

Various things You let me do 

Which otherwise I am not to

Because you always believed in me,

And knew that I can.

Thank you for the faith you live

It's you only who can selflessly give

 

Wisdom of your life, you openly shared, 

Comforted me, when I was scared.

Countless things, with patience you taught, 

You listened to me, whenever I thought.

You teach, suggest and defend

You are my very best friend

Your Sharing all the wisdom

Where to reach where I’ll fall

For shattered will be dreams pace

If I don’t seek God’s grace

You tell me to hold the truth that’s pure

And all that will endure

Most important you tell me I am loved

And not to listen to the lies

That God made my heart live forever

Because I am precious in your eyes

My dear grandfather, I truly care, 

You've always been, much more than fair. 

You are my grandfather always the best

Who is the cut above the rest

The trust I repose in you

Cannot even be guessed

With my guardian angel

I have been blessed.
