Mother
Mother
Mother, O' mother,
Vessel of life,
My rock and light,
Taking all sadness and ache without ever relieving your bother.
You kiss me before the sun kisses the sky,
And like the stars you guide me through my darkest times,
You get wet just to keep me dry when it rains,
Your embrace is warmer than the best sweater money can buy.
You didn't study medicine,
But you have so much patience,
And when I'm with you I forget all pain within seconds,
The touch of your fingertips soothes places unseen.
You're firm yet mild,
And I still don't know why people worship lords?
When a woman -a mother can turn all the odds,
Just to even things out for her child.
I can never repay nor forget,
All you've done for me,
To make sure I can be who I want to be,
I'd make you proud, all I pray for us your good health.
