Mirage

Waking up with sleepy head and tired eyes,

Then rushing to office through the traffic as always

This had become her daily routine.

How she wished her strife had ended up there

But there was much more to that.

She had to deal with unfamiliar chaotic atmosphere.

The unfriendly attitude of the employees and their silly stares.

She asked herself was this the job she had always wished for.

She was heartbroken to find herself in that situation.

Months of hard work gave her the job which was life's bitter lesson.

Mostly whatever seems alluring is many a times not satisfying.

Manyatimes our perceptions are betrayed by the stark truth mercilessly.
