Mental Rape

Mental Rape

241

As she was born;

You tried to kill,

But she survived with her will.

You alleged her as unfortunate,

Neglecting; to so many she brings good fate.

As she was growing;

You denied her freedom,

Allowing her to choose seldom.

You denied the rights she deserved,

Undervaluing the services she served.

Somewhere you denied her education,

Restricting her to do household functions.

You denied her the freedom of speech,

Keeping the rights, out of her reach.

As she grew;

You again alleged her as impure,

Because the mensuration blood was not considered pure.

The reason she could give birth to a baby,

Her condition in such phase, to you seemed shabby.

You denied her the option to choose her career,

Putting marriage infront of her, as a barrier.

After she tied a knot,

You seized her as if she's an empty plot.

You forced her to remain shut,

Because if she spoke,

To face; you lacked the guts.

At every step,

You tortured her mentally,

Mental rape; no less than raping her physically.

She craves for justice,

What she got was just a fake promise.

Justice delayed is the justice lost,

You were a barrier in every path she crossed.

You are well known of her power,

That's the reason;

Only restrictions on her you shower.
