In a world so young, at six years old,

I stepped into reality, stories yet untold.

With eager eyes, I began to read,

Words crystal clear, filling my every need.

ABC songs echoed, a melody so sweet,

Yet my mother's love, I could never meet.

Seeking solace, I found refuge in humble,

In the rice fields, I'd hide and tumble.

Lulled to sleep by the rustling hay,

Dreams of a love that would never betray.

But one day, trembling and filled with fear,

The voice of my beloved father drew near.

He swept me up in arms so strong,

Wiping my tears, righting every wrong.

With candy from the shop and a tender touch,

He changed my clothes, and my hair he'd brush.

In his embrace, I felt truly loved,

Yet for my mother's love, still, my heart yearned.

Though she turned away, her love held no flame,

My father's teachings lit my way.

In the Bible's pages, he'd enlighten me,

"Be kind, be strong," his words were so heavenly.

He taught me not to judge, to lend a hand,

To find the kindness in this vast, wild land.

At such a tender age, I glimpsed the world's divide,

Longing for fantasies, yet reality would abide.

But why, oh why, did these questions arise?

Thanks to my father, my heart grew wise.

For he was a beacon, a father so great,

Guiding me through life's tempestuous gates.

And to God, the greatest love of all,

I owe my gratitude, my heart, standing tall.

These memories at six, forever etched within,

A testament to love, a story that begins.

So, I cherish the lessons, the love I have known,

In my father's embrace, I've truly grown.

And though my mother's love eludes my sight,

I am bathed in love, radiant and bright.

For in my heart, a treasure I hold,

The memories of love, at six years old.
