Medusa's Lair

Medusa's Lair

672

Medusa was punished for a crime she had no play in

It was Poseidon's immortal flesh that locked her in

Now Athena' arrived and with her enraged jealousy

Made the fair Medusa a Gorgon's legacy

Turned her head into a snake like crown

fighting her innocence and bringing her down

Weight of hisses made her numb

To her own parched little drum

The fairest maiden now turns to stone

Who lust and try to make her beauty known

Left alone with just two ways either hide and run or never to be awake

Or take matters in hand and bring a change oneself

The hisses now louder than ever,

Getting louder and louder

As she cut them off strand by strand.
