"Lost Soul"

I was a lost soul, searching for purpose, When our eyes met for the first time, In my memories the universe had stopped as if it was meant to be. There were sour sounds of humans buzzing and of inanimate things clattering, which turned into a pleasant and cherished memory. I remember your deep, mysterious grey eyes, hiding away a profound pain as if they were calling out to someone. And I walked towards you, with my heavy heart which was full of love.

We had what humans call- "the happily-ever-after" which was not so happy after all! It all happened in just a moment, fate pulled a couple of strings and you were snatched away from my arms just like that, without a goodbye. I used to ponder for hours just sitting in a trance in your favorite shirt, just lost, "What happens in a moment, just like that, Why I did not get a final farewell?"

Wandering aimlessly, an empty shell, nothing but a vessel full of futile thoughts. I didn't realize the answer was within already. "Life happens in a moment". When you were walking away, my whole life flashed through my teary-eyed eyes.

That day, I realized that life happens at the moment when it is gone, it is gone! You gave me a lifetime of love in just a couple of days. I have promised myself to always cherish our love of endless Passion, maddeningly lovable memories.

You did not walk away from my life, you were my life, you took away pieces of my soul with your fading silhouette, and left me wondering, bare - "A LOST SOUL!"
