Lost At Sea
Lost At Sea
I am a ship so deserted, wandering aimlessly
With stars for company at night
And days so full of the Sun.
Life has brought me to this sea
Far away from the coast where I belong.
Where will the sails turn next
Who is steering this ship I know not.
I watch as the sea turns blue
I watch as the sea turns green.
But it never becomes the coast where I belong.
Every breeze carries your message to me
As they caress my cheeks and leave your kisses.
I know you are waiting for me down the harbour lane.
Wonder if these are tears or just the salty breeze
And I don’t know how much I miss being at the coast where I belong.
There are lights I see at the end of the sea
But they just fade away in the darkness of the night
Unnoticeable like a firefly under the stars.
I wish it was a lighthouse of the coast where I belong.
I miss the swaying palms, the by lanes of a house
Where I have spent a lifetime many a times.
Can't forget when your fingers touched mine, the last time
I could see the waves rising in your eyes.
A pain in my heart, I still feel
And I knew then, I want to be back to this coast where I belong.
