What happens when too many things go wrong?
Like toddlers crushing seashells in their hands,
like men refusing to honor the moon at the window
like birds disregarding the horizons every sunset..
Like the poet parting with her muse
And the artist going hungry
When the best days dawn in memory or dreams,
and, are marked as 'what ifs', 'buts', and 'whens'
What happens when too many things go wrong?
When nature's not law and love is labour
When mere existence is hanging loose and
disconnect from the norm
When the entire creation wants to dance
but its music scarce..
What happens when too many things go wrong?
They become right..
Because not all toddlers crush seashells
nor every window is eyeless
neither some birds benumbed
not every poet is silenced
Or art subservient to hunger
Nature is and will remain both love and law.
The creation dances and will continue to dance
because its days are not marked,
nor its music dying..
All its 'what ifs', 'buts', and 'whens'
are right here, around, and real..
