Laying Down Today I Wonder...

Laying Down Today I Wonder...

2 mins
135

Laying down in my bed today I wonder,

Why can't people see what's down under

In the wish of wanting the perfect thing

They let go of what they have in just a bling

Realising later what they lost and knowing that they will not be able to bear that cost

Laying down in my bed today I wonder

Why can't people realise that they are doing a blunder

In the act of protecting themselves from getting hurt

They hide and conceal the feelings that need to be heard

Not realising that it leads to confusion and chaos which they are eventually not able to resolve

Laying down in my bed today I wonder

Will people ever understand the simplicity of love

That caring and trusting each other is all it takes

To mend old wounds and transform them into a bond which never breaks

Laying down in my bed today I wonder

Why cant people live the beautiful journey of life

In the rut of competing with everything around to reach success

They don't realise what they have left behind in their recklessness

Laying down in my bed today I wonder

How difficult is it for people to stick to the human touch

To just walk up to a stranger and share a smile or two

Or to just sit by with a loved one and tell them that we are valued.

Laying down in my bed today I wonder

Where are we running to in our busy lives

To a place where there is no peace and happiness to suffice

Where we don't have time for people and are glued to our devices

And then consumed heartlessly by all vices

Laying down in my bed today I wonder, it is time we surrender

To work together to build a new trend

Of making our lives meaningful by being the true friend.
