Just Like An Essay

It was almost like an essay, you and me

Perfect combination of right words, right emotions,

Never crossing word limits, restricted to the rules

and etiquettes.

But you were fond of poetries,

searching for the Verses here and there,

not for the right words,

But for the words that make us happy on a gloomy day,

After a day’s work which works like

the 5 minutes of coffee break ,

We crave for.

Poetry has magic, Essay is realistic.

You and I were just like the essay,

We never had the imperfections and madness of a poetry.

We were just perfect for each other,

But not meant to be together,

Cause you and I were just like an essay.
