Jim and Kim are friends now,

They don’t talk of their children,

They are settled well in the land afar,

A place offshore, indifferent to peace and war.

Jim and Kim are married now,

They don’t talk of their jobs,

Nor about what bothers them,

Not about what tortures them,

Jim cries and Kim joins,

Together they both toil,

About the life they don’t owe,
