Who have fought day and long

For our democratic India

Our freedom was not a plain sailing

After all, failing and waning

Bloodshed and tears

We are standing today

Without any fear

For our forebears

Have put their life for us

To make our India beauteous

And stand free

So let's remember our fighters

Who has made our India brighter

Now it's in our hands

To make our India mightier
