Independent Fight
Independent Fight
In the past, we fought for independence's light,
Now, an irony unfolds, a bewildering sight,
Once we longed to break free from the chains of fate,
Yet now we cling to bonds that suffocate.
We yearned for liberty, our spirits soared high,
Now we seek dependence, an eerie sigh,
Oh, how the tides have turned, a curious twist,
From freedom's embrace to a divisive mist.
Once united, a nation's heart beat as one,
Now fragmented, under a divided sun,
We yearn to rule, to conquer and command,
Forgetting the unity that once made us stand.
The British rule, a bitter lesson of old,
Divide and conquer, their strategy bold,
We inherited the seeds they sowed,
Divisions deepening, our unity erodes.
But let us remember the lessons of old,
And the stories of sacrifice, untold,
For in unity, we find our true strength,
A bond that can span any length.
Let love and compassion be our guiding light,
Neutrality towards all, casting prejudice aside,
Respect for every gender that graces this land,
Tribute to the sacrifices, hand in hand.
In unity we thrive, in division, we fall,
Let's heed the past's echoes, heed the call,
For a nation united, we must strive,
In the tapestry of togetherness, let us thrive.
