In The Lap Of Nature
In The Lap Of Nature
Silently,
My mortal structure lets my passion increase
And induces me
To be the voice of the mountains, and dales
And sing,
And ring the herald of the spring
The fountain spreads its silvery hairs like a mermaid
Where the sun occasionally blushes among plush greens
And dances with the breeze
While the chirping birds,
And humming bees
Compete for honey from the myriad flowers
I lost my voice but only gaze
Her being jubilant but inebriated
With the manifestation,
And tossing her head in every direction
I’m up to listen to her countless tales
While my head in her lap
And mouth wide gap
To drink elixir drop by drop.
