Illusion
Illusion
Twisting and turning they are,
Monsters of so-called renaissance
What else is there for me to see?
In the bubble of illusion let me be
Hatred, the rising of ugly heads
Where sensibility no more rewards
And rationality is hypnotized
I choose illusion to be ostracized
Where goodness is too good to be true
In face of fascism, humanity is a lost hue
Uninflected and pure, there’s no place
Only in my illusion, I find solace
No more can I see the stinging bees
And the paradise steadily collapse
It’s just another world, a better one
In my imagination, in my illusion
Better to be insane in the world of sane
Where convictions contort and manipulate
The right and wrong are camouflaged
Illusion is thus nothing; but make- believe
