I Should Wait

Maybe I should wait, I should wait to see 

That dark cloud has a silver lining.

That anticlimax may not be the end of the story,

That the story may take a favorable turn.

That the thorns may be sharp and piercing

But roses are not out of reach.

That time and circumstances may not be favourable today

But  tomorrow will be a new day

With new possibilities.

That people are what they are raised into

 And are caught in a pattern of thought.

That priorities change as I age,

That I am looked up to give back to the world.

That it is important to be grateful for 

The joy and laughter, assets and fulfillment

Invested in me by countless

Those I would not know.

I should wait.....
