I Can Still Fly

I wake up to a new day

In my comfort, I wish to stay

But dream says, give it a try

I know, I can still fly.

As I gear up to face the unknown 

I shiver and fear reaches my bone

Like a kid, I want to cry

But no, I know I can still fly.

As I struggle to achieve it all

And I get up every time I fall

I stop, breath and sigh 

And tell myself, I know I can still fly.

Finally when courage fills my heart

I know it’s time to restart 

As I wave my demons goodbye 

And tell them, I know I can still fly.
