Humans: Lords Of The Earth

There are beasts of prey
Then there are the beasts who pray.
Humans, they call us
Mere mortals addressed as Lords.

We conquered the planet
soon as the dinosaurs vanished.
And we've multiplied in a way
like maggots on a dead rabbit.

(I'm) not shaming the lords
but am ashamed,
how greed has overcome their conscience.

We kill for fun,
loot our mother earth,
and get drunk.

Perhaps, we are pseudo-Gods,
who perish the beings inferior,
with lust and greed so superior.

Divine and innocent outside,
with a hungry devil,
dwelling in the anterior.

You may kill one of us,
but our numbers don't fall in dearth.
Humans they call us
the Lords of the earth.
