Hues Of A Palette

We are all hues

Of the same palette.

This palette

Is not meant

To divide us.

This palette is all-encompassing;

All-accommodating.

This palette doesn’t differentiate;

It doesn’t mean to hurt

Any of us.

Alas! Disasters occur.

One hue is spat upon;

Shamed.

The other is revered;

Praised.

However we try, we cannot change things,

Unless we uproot the ignorance embedded deep in us,

Unless we realize that

We are all hues

Of the same palette.
