T'was a usual day at school when we first met

Shy to each other, I couldn't forget

Days went by, I found myself laughing with you

I realized I had friends, that's all I knew

We argued about a topic or a thing

Then, heard our voices rising

We ceased, and would just laugh to shroud

Then we were scolded for being so loud

We talked about the teachers we least liked

Shared dreams, distress, beliefs while we hiked

Agreed to cut class and be reckless

We knew each other well, rarely had to guess

Teased the ones who had crushes in the class

Got drunk, and freed the sorrow that was hiding in us

There's so much more to these memories that we have

I may be oblivious, but I will treasure all your love

We've sung many songs and danced together

Laughed and cried, shared food, paper, and answer

From a simple 'Hi' to 'Thank You' to a hard 'Goodbye'

We'll follow different roads, and just like a car we'll stop by
