High Hopes
High Hopes

I see my classmates falling behind,
Haters and fakers I will always decline.
Few try to pull me down,
From sunrise to sundown.
I am courageous; I am strong,
I am determined to prove them wrong.
I would fall down if I rest,
And always try to give my best.
I will work hard, yet stay tall,
The moment I slack off will be my downfall.
I have to keep a goal, an achievement in my mind,
While others will try to crush me and grind.
Have to keep high hopes to stay strong,
Lend a hand to one's who cannot leap long.
This isn't just a poem that I ignite,
But also a story of every day I fight.
Fight for right; against the wrong,
Keeping high hopes is the only thing-that'll keep me strong.
