Heading Nowhere

This path on which I have tarried

Weighed down by the burdens I have carried

Sickened by all the expectations

In search of an uncertain gratification

 

Away from a hypocritical and an unscrupulous crowd

I run whooping and shouting loud 

The enthralling path that I have chosen now 

Might seclude me from my barren fate somehow

 

 

My life is riddled with problems aplenty

I feel unbridled joy 

Yet my fate remains always coy

All lingering hopes it destroys 

 

My good deeds were mowed down

All my face could depict was an ecstatic frown

My heart is ablaze 

My thoughts are beleaguered 

My mind's a crazy mess 

For my path is disfigured
