Give Her Wings
Give Her Wings
Those eyes could make you fall,
Fall for the ocean in them
Fall for the calmness in them
And yet, the look was fierce
But tell her, the fire in her eyes were never ours.
Those words could make you believe,
Believe in the power of influence
Believe in existence of peace
And yet, the voice was firm
But tell her, the thoughts behind those words were never ours.
That heart could make you love,
Love the feeling of togetherness
Love the truth of soul within you
And yet, those heart beats were uncertain
But tell her, the passion in her heart was never ours.
Those knowing words could make her weak,
Weak because she had expectations to meet
Weak because she had bars to set
And yet, her will was strong
But tell her, those compelling words were never for her.
The fire in those eyes could have burned the glaciers
The thoughts behind her words could have provoked the world
The passion in her heart could have made the moon meet the sun
The words left unsaid could have helped her fly
If only we had told her, those wings weren't ours to keep.
